Cheek Implants

Cheek Implant Procedure
Implants are usually made of silicone and inserted into the face in an outpatient surgical procedure. Incisions may be made inside the mouth or within the hairline so that scarring is not visible to others. Mid-facial cheek implants may be placed at the same time you have other cosmetic procedures, like a face lift, brow lift, rhinoplasty or chin implant.

Chin Implants
The chin plays an important role in the overall aesthetic appearance of the face. A weak chin can make a nose seem more prominent while a jutting chin can throw the symmetry of your face off balance. Chin implant surgery is a way to increase or change the size and projection of your chin. The procedure is customized to each individual patient and may incorporate artificial material to obtain desired results.
Chin Implant Procedure
Chin implant surgery is an outpatient procedure. Incisions may be made inside your mouth or just beneath your chin to allow Dr. Elizabeth to place your implant with no visible scars. Eye lifts, face lifts, brow lifts, nose jobs, and ear pinning are other procedures that may be performed at the same time as chin implant plastic surgery.
When your chin implant has been successfully placed, Dr. Elizabeth will tape your chin to support your new implant and minimize swelling. You may experience mild pain which may be managed with pain medication. Bruising and swelling are typical but should go away within several days after your surgery. You may also find it difficult to talk and smile for the first couple of days after surgery; this should improve in a short time.
